Thats the spark arrestor off Barb's old motor, only one I got right now, I'm going to the boat shop tomorrrow, I'd like to have one a half inch taller, or larger diameter, there is hardly any restriction in those ya know, they are not filtered.

Olered, you really gonna suck all that power thru that little spark arrestor? I'm not knockin it, I'm just askin', I was wondering if I'm gonna have to get a higher flow aftermarket for mine, or if stock Mercruiser stuff was gonna flow enough...

Man !   you are Quick George ... the noise you heard must have been that little earthquake nwe had last night, I haven't fired this baby up yet.

The earthquake only registered a 2.0,  this baby will sound like a 4.0 on the ricktor I'm sure

One more day's work and this little fellow will be setting the Scimitar

It came out to 389 cubic inches - steel (scat) crank, Eagle rods , Speed Pro hypertech pistons .060 over w/teflon skirts - custom ground LT4 roller cam, 292 duration 510 lift - full roller 1.5 rockers - aluminum ProComp (fast burn) vortec heads w/2.02 Manley swirl polished stainless steel valves, 64cc chambers - raised runners, dual springs, titanium keepers and retainers - double roller timing set - Edlebrock RPM (air gap)  aluminum intake manifold w/Edlebrock AVS Thunder 650cfm carb - polished aluminum EMI Thunder dry joint exhaust manifolds - the block was drilled and pinned to use the early model timing cover, seven quart oil pan, and entire the rotating assy was computer balanced with the light weight harmonic balancer and the speed lite flywheel installed. 

HorsePower .. it's expected to produce about 440hp with 500 pounds torque
