RE: Wasted Day !

Olered,
sorry to hear that. I recently made a 5 hour trip each way for a boat that was NOT what was advertised, so I  know how it feels. BUT, a week later, I found the perfect parts boat, and it all worked out great. hopefully the same will happen for you. I know it's frustrating. I know you are like me and always lookin for that perfect deal, and you'll find it.

Wasted Day !

360 mile road trip for  NOTHING  !

I been looking for a 27 to 30 boat to keep in my slip here at lake Hefner,  I continually see some Really Good deals for some pretty nice old cruisers with no trailers, so I was looking for a good deal on a 30ft tri-axle with about 6,000 to 10,000 load capacity and I ran across what seemed to be a Good Deal, in Pottsboro Tx.   a 30ft aluminum tri-alxe with a 10,500 load capacity ... ready to go ... $1,500 !

Yea  Right ... it was a tri-axle alright, and it is Mostly aluminum, there is no winch tower, the under carriage is a rusty kernal, springs and shackles look like they are grown together, like "0" tolerance from the shackles to the main frame, season cracked car tires with a maximum load range of 1540 at 35 psi, the hydraulic brakes had been changed out with electric alright, but the surge system is still on the steel tongue.  The aluminum frame is about 25ft long, the tongue included makes it a 27 1/2 ft trailer, So, I guess extending the bunks 1 1/2 ft off the back of the frame makes it a 30 footer   ???

Yea ... I was Hacked !   so I just come on back home .. empty
