So sad, truly a legend. When ever you talk about the older Glastrons someone always asks ,is it a Carlson?
Even today you don't see boats with the styling that the carlsons have, was at the lake today looking for a friend with a yellow carevelle and almost all boats look the same.
Twice again to Red for documenting all the work he has done on these boats!!
Just an FYI, but the Facebook Glastron group is reporting that Art has passed. _________________________________________________________________________________________________
Ok, just spoke to Red, who was in contact with John today. This has been confirmed.
I do know, from speaking with John, that Art truly enjoyed the digital picture frame Red donated with our slideshow running on it during his stay at the retirement home.
We'll run our boats at Red Wing this year in Art's memory. _________________________________________________________________________________________________

I don't have a boat to bring to Red Wing this year, but if I did, I would be joining in on a Tribute to Art Carlson. I never got to meet the man in person, but I have been talking to him on the phone for 8 years, maybe, I think 11 years, anyway, he has become my friend. I, me and Doran, has been keeping him up to date with the projects, boats in use, and just keeping him up to date with the following of his boats for Years. Art was a good man, and a simple man, I don't think he had any idea of the following his creative concept of design had on the Glastron Carlson boats, but I thnk he became aware of that since the video frame Doran put together after his darling wife, Barbara, passed, just a couple years ago. His son John took him in care after Barbara passed. Art was progressing in alzheimers at that time, John stood up to the challenge and made the rest of Arts life as comfortable as possible. Here's a couple links to the history of Art Carlson ...
