Our Scimitars...over weight?

Thats Great Brian ... my boat and trailer weighs 3340, everything in it but the motor and drive, about 25 gallons of gas on board, I think my trailer is weighing about 960.

LOL ... you just told him Bill, he frequents the forum here ya know.

No Foolin ... the weights stated on the brochures are obviously the weight of the boats before the the motors and drives were installed.  I weighed my Scimitar with the motor removed, 2400 pounds.  We weighed Barb's Intimidator,  on the trailer with about 20 gallons of gas on board, weighed 3000 pounds her trailer will weigh about 800, putting her boat weight about 2200

Ahoy mates,     What's up with this weight disperity in the factory specs,vs.the weight  you guys are finding at your community scales. I just reviewed the the brouchers on the Glastron web site which state the approx. weight at around 1850 lbs.[dry], and you are telling me that your boats weigh a whole lot more! I am wondering if I should call Art Carlson and demand an explanation for this outrageous difference in the weight....just kidding biggrin. Any way,I guess I just had too much time on my hands and decided to blowviate here on the forum yawn. So I guess that's all for now, over and out.  Best regards,     Pelican Bill
