RE: Scimitar for sale

hey Red. Thanks for the welcome. We just stubbled upon the site as we began searching the best way to sell the boat. I have already had some great responses on the boat, so this was clearly the place to be!

The gelcoat is only slightly dull with some minor spiderwebbing as the original owner let it sit uncovered for a couple years before I bought it. But for a 30 year old paint job, its in good shape. It was professionally (but cheaply) and personally detailed (last summer)  and some shine has come back. I think with a little more effort and a knowledge of a true professional she would shine up nice. I believe I have all of the original parts and definatly have the T- tops.

I attached a couple extra picks. but cant seem to find any I have of it in the water..:(

RE: Scimitar for sale

Welcome to the site Scott,  and thanks for re-posting.  What I did last nite,  I replyed to your post, then wanted to edit my post,  I pushed the Wrong Button and deleted the whole thread, I'll try not to do that again ..lol

Your boat appears to have a nice finish, is the top side bright or is it dull, dull is kinda common if they have been stored outside.  Do you have the "T" Tops ?

Scimitar for sale

Hello my fellow Scimitar fans.
The time has come to reluctantly seperate myself from my 1980 Glastron Scimitar.  This has been a very difficult but neccessary decision. The boat is emerald mist in color and has all of the original parts (except upholstry and carpet). Slight modifications were made when an upgraded sterio and speakers were installed two years ago. The boat is in great shape and ready for the water. The engine has realtively low hours with around 600 and purrs like a lion once started. I am only the second owner of this wonderful boat that always draws a crowd at any beach. Its been a blessing of a first boat for me, and I hate to get rid of her. Asking $16,000 or best offer. This is not a "project" boat and only a few cosmetic issues need addressing (mostly new upholstry.) She is ready to go and currently stored in dry dock in Las Vegas, NV. I have additional pics to show. Please contact me at scotahern@aol.com if interested.
Thank you for your interest.
Scott
